Maria Bayas Receives Make a Difference Award
The R&J Make a Difference Award for Q2 of 2019 was presented to Digital Account Strategist, Maria Bayas. Originating from the agency’s brand statement, the Make a Difference Award is presented each quarter to an R&J team member who goes above and beyond in making a difference for the agency, its clients and in the community.
Since joining R&J in 2016, Maria has consistently proven to be an asset to the firm and our clients. With an aptitude for digital marketing and social media, she plays an integral role in growing a digital and social media presence for R&J’s clients, as well as for the agency’s own social channels, across various platforms. Working closely with both the B2C and B2B realms of the agency, Maria leads the integration of social marketing strategies for all client media plans. By identifying digital marketing opportunities and by providing strategic recommendations that advance client goals, Maria continues to make a difference for the agency’s clients.
Recently, Maria was recognized for her continuous dedication to volunteering at both the SAVE Animal Shelter and the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Additionally, Maria had participated in an “Out of the Darkness” community walk with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) this past fall. Her team was able to contribute $1,100 to the overall funds total of over $38,000. AFSP uses the money raised at this walk to fund research for suicide prevention, create and distribute education programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Overall, the foundation’s goal is to reduce the annual suicide rate by 25% in 2020.
In commemorating the Make a Difference Award, we applaud Maria’s dedication to making a difference in the agency and bringing value to our clients every day. Congratulations to Maria Bayas, the fourteenth recipient of the R&J Make a Difference Award!
