Social Media and Creative Intern

Join R&J Strategic Communications, an integrated digital marketing and PR agency specializing in commercial real estate, healthcare, human services and non-profit communications, as a Social Media and Creative Intern. Gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing across various industries, while supporting creative design and web development projects.

Days/Hours

Flexible hours available (part-time: 15-25 hours/week, full-time: 40 hours/week).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and engage with social media accounts for clients.
  • Draft, schedule, and manage posts using Hubspot and Hootsuite.
  • Create and edit video content for social media.
  • Assist with graphic design tasks including asset creation for campaigns.
  • Support basic website updates using WordPress and Squarespace.
  • Compile performance data for campaign reporting.

Skills and Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in communications, digital marketing, social media, graphic design or related field.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and a robust eye for composition and other design principles.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content management tools, as well as design platforms like Canva.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS,  WordPress and Squarespace is a plus.
  • Ability to work 15-25 hours per week (part-time) or 40 hours per week (full-time).
  • Available for in-office meetings 2 times per week in Somerville, NJ.

Compensation

$17 per hour, with potential college credit.
