Account Coordinator
Account Coordinators play a vital role in account support and management for our diverse roster of clients in commercial real estate, healthcare, not-for-profit and consumer products industries. We’re looking for a recent college grad with previous PR internship experience in an agency setting who has strong written and verbal communication skills, is eager and driven to learn, and shares our passion for making a difference for our clients, our communities and our fellow team members.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines on multiple projects
- The ability to build and nurture relationships with target media, clients and team members
- Can work both autonomously and in a group
- A college degree in a related PR/Communications field with previous internship experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Drafting written content including press releases, blog posts, bylined articles social/digital media content, newsletters, website copy, marketing copy, fact sheets, messaging, etc.
- Researching and identifying newsworthy topics for media pitches, media advisories / alerts and thought leadership content that highlight our clients and their services / products
- Researching, building and maintaining media contact database and relationships
- Pitching the media and follow-up via phone and email and fostering relationships with in-person meetings (when appropriate)
- Researching speaking opportunities and editorial calendars for client opportunities
- Managing day-to-day account activities
- Interfacing directly with clients as a member of account service teams
- Coordinating PR strategies and tactics with internal social/digital and creative teams
- Monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the wider team and clients
- Assist with plan development and tactical execution
