R&J Helps Profeta Farms Change How Central New Jersey Residents Think About their Food

Recent construction at Profeta Farms has had Hunterdon County residents curious about what’s happening on the over 1,000-acre organic farm located in Readington, N.J. R&J helped the Profeta Farms team get out the word about the farms’ latest project, a 25,000-square foot market slated to open in spring 2018. Through proactive media relations, the R&J consumer team was able to secure an interview for farm co-founders and husband and wife team, Paul Profeta and Joanne Malino, with local reporter Susan Bloom.

Unsatisfied with the current government standards used to award organic certification and appalled with the contaminants in our food supply, Paul and Joanne, along with farmer John Place, set to take matters into their own hands. The result is a 100% organic farm that goes beyond the USDA standards for Certified Organic, delivering the purest, healthiest and most delicious local food. With the help of R&J, Paul and Joanne had the opportunity to tell their story to Bloom as well as preview the new market.

The interview resulted in a front-page feature story in the Courier News and Home News Tribune’s Table section, helping build buzz for the new market, drive traffic to the current farm store and introduce Profeta Farms’ “Beyond Organic” farm-fresh food to a new audience.
